My name is Nicoletta, I was born in Udine, in the North-East of Italy.
I lived most of my life in and out of kitchens within different roles, at first helping my mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to prepare family meals and big dinner parties.
Then I worked as a food stylist for different photographers and magazines, while cooking for my family, day in day out.
It’s been really good fun to create recipes and dishes that were published in influential Italian food and style magazines.
Before moving from Italy I kick-started a project to improve healthy eating in schoolchildren through sensory games like blind tasting.
In 2004 I moved with my family to Perth, Scotland and now I run successfully cookery classes and demonstrations.
I also work in cooperation with Perth & Kinross Council’s health promoters running family cubs and after-school classes for primary pupils and their parents.
I love both traditional recipes and innovative ideas.
I like to taste and cook food from all over the world, and discover the link between food, culture, history and people.
